In places where glass close to the water’s edge– for example, the shower, bathtub, pool, or hot tub– it needs to be safety glazed. This includes any glass within five feet from the edge, according to the Oregon Residential Code.
Safety glass is also needed when glass is near the walking surface of stairs landing or ramp and a railing is not present.
